In the whole of my career I have worked on a lot of articles and have written about a lot of people, in addition to that I have had the chance to interview one of the most known bloggers in the country and know about their story and struggles. However writing about Mridula Dwivedi has given me a lot of ideas about the modern day work life, reading about her life and her path to being what she is today is all the reality check we need.
The story of this professor turned blogger is inspirational even before we begin with the actual blogging part. Before trying her hand into blogging Mridula was a professor in a highly reputed management college and was earning a six -figure salary. Her sister and brother in law were already into blogging and gave her the much needed push that one needs for their first step.It was in the year 2005 that Mridula started with her blog “Travel Talks From India”. She took up to blogging as a part time hobby and continued with her job. It was in the year 2015 that she quit her job and her entire focus was on travel and her social media handles.
Travelling is her love passion and source of happiness and the only thing she misses about her work is the salary part and she is extremely upfront about it. Her take on life and work is all you need to realise that life is a piece of cake and you have responsibilities at every step.In my opinion, the most inspiring thing about her blog is how it started- Mridula has gone on record saying that she started her blog with her own money and encourages each and everyone to do so. As a person she is the most optimal combination of taking your dreams and life seriously.
She sheds the importance of travelling alone, being and independent and going to offbeat destinations. Her blog is all about lists, advice, notable mentions, do’s and Don’ts, a lot of inspiration and getaway ideas. There are stories about random places and a little trivia that everyone loves to read every now and then. Her’s is a fully loaded blog with a gem of content.
