Feeler of feelings, lover of colour, single mama by choice to Summer Honey Rose – Alyssa Garrison
She is a social media influencer. She is the author of the blog Random Acts of Pastel and has a following of about 53.5k on Instagram. She developed the idea of Random Acts of Pastel, or RAOP for short, as a street art concept to uplift the surroundings. She had just graduated from journalism school and already felt disillusioned about the click-driven, ad-fueled business. She felt completely unable to move on since she was blocked, stuck, and unable to find any inspiration in Toronto.
In pursuit of a fresh creative outlet, she made the decision to paint commonplace items in her city a pastel shade to provide some brightness and get rid of all the gloom and dullness. She altered her Instagram username from a personal account to RAOP after a few pink fire hydrants, and she began “pastel hunting” at that point. A lifestyle brand that aspires to do the same, RAOP has grown over time from a fun personal initiative that loves joy and celebrates everyday amazement.
In 2019, she made the conscious decision to alter the course of her story and, as a result, she became the sole parent of her daughter, Summer Honey Rose. Although parenting has already taken centre stage in her life, this site still focuses on fashion, beauty, and design. The Toronto Star, Fashion Magazine, Life After Birth (book), The Papaya Podcast, Knix Faces of Fertility Podcast, Global News, and The Social have already published her.
She has collaborated with a wide range of companies, which would include Crate and Barrel Kids, OurPlace, Miles The Label, The Amazing Brentwood, Jamieson Vitamins, Virgin Mobile, Universal Music, Panago, Nike, Aritzia, Class Pass, Hewlett Packard, Shoppers Drug Mart, Subway, Rebel stork, Mosie Baby, Pink Poodle Wine, Hello Fresh, Evive, IKEA Canada, Lululemon, Walmart, President’s Choice, Buga. She considered herself a professional dreamer and has pastel hair that changes frequently. She thrives on glittering surprises and eats mostly sugar to survive, so she rarely takes off my rose-colored glasses. So come and ride with her amid the glitter.
