If you have a big smile on your face, and your cheeks are cherry red, remembering those days. You are definitely in for a treat. No matter how difficult it was without watsapp and snapchats or the times when we hovered around the landline. Those days were and always be a 100 on 100.
Proposal: Good old days, when this one was a must no matter what. The ideal mahurat would be a P.T period or a recess. The whole class would gather around you both and the guys with all his guts will say “I like you” and for the sake of all the classmates gathered around them we assume that the girl said yes and so it begins!
BackBench : Somehow those dates were much much more romantic than all dates I have been to, exactly after the proposal you would find the lovers on the last bench pretending to study.
Canteen Dates: Those 20 minutes were the sole reason people went to school for. These were all the more special for couples who were not in the same section. Rushing out of classes and standing in the corner of the canteen, or taking long strolls in the school grounds.
P.T Periods:This one is the original version of date nights! Getting butterflies the night before the day, because you get full 30 minutes of one on one conversation with your partner. Talking about all types of things, laughing like crazy, most importantly this is the time when the guy takes all his guts
Last Page of the Notebook: If there is someone, who has witnessed the actual journey of your love it is the last page of your rough notebook. From taking out flames, to “Likh Likh ke baatein karna.” Last page has all your secrets.
SMS Packs : Because “Tere bin nai lagda dil mera ” Because we are the people who have had night long conversations without watsapp on the vintage phones where we had to press a button several times for desired letter. Going to the local colony recharge wale bhaiya and asking for the cheapest sms packs is still the fondest memory of all times.
Talking @ Landline: If you were one of those people whose parents were slightly stricter than others you must remember talking to your partner from landline. As soon as my parents used to go someplace. My first instinct was to call my boyfriend and talk my heart out.
After Exam Movies: Even the most strict parents, allowed their kids to go out and about after their last exam. This actually meant going out with your partner dressed in casuals, and as the ritual goes on going to KFC or Dominos. The girls were more concerned about their outfits than preparing for exams, and well for the guys it was all about those lil moments of privacy in the movie theatre
That one Friend: More than anything, school is all about friendship and the people you meet here will be the ones who know you better than yourself. All the relationships had that one mutual friend who in fact was the backbone of the whole scenario. From managing fights to sorting out any kind of rumours, from covering up the couple in front of their parents to helping both of them in planning of gifts.
PTM Face Off: The only moment which is still capable of giving me goosebumps, is when me and my mother were going to collect my report card and just like it happens in movies me and my boyfriend crossed paths. We stopped, I introduced him to my mother and then he bent to touch her feet! *Trust me guys my cheeks are cherry red while remembering that scene *
