One of the most prominent and divisive influences in the Philippines is Donnalyn Bartolome. When she was 14 years old, she began uploading films to YouTube after relocating to various nations as a member of a Navy family. Bartolome originally made the films for the people she left behind, but she started gaining fans on social media over time. She shared everything, including dance and song covers and beauty tutorials. Eventually, she relocated to Facebook, where her notoriety began to take off. As of September 2022, she had 9.93 million subscribers on YouTube, 16 million Facebook followers, 6.9 million Instagram followers, and 2.2 million Twitter followers.
She was signed by Viva Records, a known media company in the Philippines and Flipmusic, two of the top record labels in the nation, at the age of 16 to release original songs that she wrote herself. Bartolome eventually attained the status of Viva Artist. Bartolome obtained a movie contract with Viva Entertainment in addition to a singing deal.
After the release of her singles “LM4M,” a song produced by Jon Bonus, and “Kakaibabe,” music from the Diary ng Panget soundtrack, she quickly gained notoriety. The lead hit from her album Happy Break-Up was “Happy Break-Up.” From July 2014 to December 2019, Kakai Babe and Happy Break Up held the record for Viva Records’ most-watched solo female singer music video. She also appeared and collab with multiple celebrities, singers, actors, and influencers in the country. Donnalyn returned to the music industry with the release of her third album, “Surprise,” which featured her main song. She released a self-directed music video for Di Lahat in 2019 with some of the biggest names in the business. Another popular self-directed music video from HBD was released.
She recently got a lot of bashers on her social media but still got more love from her fans.
