After starring in a number of Mexican TV series and films, ANAHI first rose to prominence in the 1980s. In 2004, Anahi starred in Rebelde, a Mexican adaptation of a popular show from Argentina. Anahi played Mia Colucci, a popular young woman from a prosperous family, on Rebelde. This show was an international hit and had over 440 episodes, airing from 2004 to 2006. Rebelde’s success helped RBD, a band, get its start. RBD has so far put out nine studio albums, some of which are in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. They have performed in Mexico, South America, Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, the United States, and Spain while selling over 15 million albums globally.
Anahi is loved by her fans because she used her fame for the right causes, on October 12, 2011, Anahi joined the Non-Violence Project’s Campaign, “Imagine One Billion Faces For Peace”, as a Global Ambassador. The campaign promoted international peace and nonviolence as a way to pay tribute to the late John Lennon.
Anahi was selected one of the 2012 Maxim Hot 100 by the renowned Mexican magazine Maxim, which described her as a “Mexican beauty” who is “a true triple threat: she sings, she acts, and she writes witty tweets.” and this brings us to her Twitter. Anahi has a staggering following of 9.8 million on her Twitter. Anahi is hilariously active on Twitter, she reposts funny edits by her fans and also shares her opinions via tweets.
