One of the Middle East’s most bankable stars is Saudi Arabian actress and musician Aseel Omran. She had a fan base all over the Arab world and more than six million Instagram followers. Omran has worked as a spokesperson for brands like L’Oréal Paris and Bulgari in the past. She is a role model for women all over the region, including Saudi Arabia, as the conservative kingdom undergoes social change. She is also a muse recognized by top-tier global luxury brands.
The entertainer, who was born in Al-Khobar, became famous in 2006 when she appeared on the reality show “Gulf Stars.” A year later, she released her first album, “Khajlanah,” on Rotana Records. In 2008, she released her second album, “Allah Yhannini.” The Middle East Broadcasting Centre launched the reality show “Huwa Wa Heya,” in which Omran starred and quickly became a household name. She began acting in Arabic-language shows on Netflix and other platforms, such as “Qabel Lil Kaser,” “Harun Al Rashid,” and “Akoon Aw La,” following the release of her third album, “Mo Bessahel,” in 2011. Her covers, collaborations with international singers, and viral content on YouTube are still well-liked in the region.
Since 2019, Omran has worked with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). She has also worked with the UN agency on many other projects, like going on a field trip to Jordan’s Zaatari camp and spending a day getting to know a young refugee girl named Esraa.
Dior, a luxury French brand, shared some exciting news for the region today. The much-cherished brand has formally marked its absolute first representative from the Center East, and the most up-to-date individual from the Dior family is, as a matter of fact, Aseel Omran. The Saudi singer and actor, best known for her music and roles in Gulf Stars and Heya wa Huwa, also posted a first look at the news to her 6 million official Instagram followers. She wrote, “I’m proud to share with you a partnership that is very dear to me. “Today I’m officially the first @dior ambassador in the Middle East and I cannot begin to express my excitement level, Dior is a brand I was genuinely a big fan of growing up. I can’t wait to show you what the rest of the year holds.” said Aseel. Aseel Omran joins Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Carla Bruni, Charlize Theron, Sharon Stone, and Monica Bellucci in having a special relationship with Dior as a result of this move.
Dior also revealed in a formal note that “Aseel will be working closely with the brand across both womenswear and fine jewelry.”
