After winning Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 1 and being dubbed the “Chinese Cutie ng Cebu” at the time, Kim Chiu began her showbiz career at 16. While living in the infamous “Kuya’s” house, the young Kim Chiu captivated many viewers with her admirable character, undeniable charm, and incredible skills and talent.
Following her time on PBB, the young actress participated in the 2007 television series for which she was nominated. With Gerald Anderson, she ultimately won the GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards for Most Promising Female Star and Most Popular Loveteam.
She has acted in numerous movies and television shows, making her a well-known figure in the Philippines. Kim Chiu has a long list of accomplishments to her credit, including 15 blockbuster hit movies, 39 highly rated shows, 21 chart-topping singles, countless commercial endorsements, and numerous honors and recognitions in her twelve years the local entertainment industry.
But although our “Chinita Princess” has had a very successful showbiz career thus far, let’s not forget about her modest beginnings and motivational ascent to fame and money.
Unbeknownst to many, Kim also went through difficult times as she was growing up. She utilized these experiences as motivation to improve the quality of life for her and her family rather than giving up hope.
Kim quickly established herself as a role model and inspiration to her fellow PBB housemates and reality show viewers throughout her time there. She had a great personality overall, which was further enhanced by the tenacity and positivity she displayed.
Many people thought and foresaw that she would be recognized as the grand victor even before the competition ended—and she proved them correct.
Kim Chiu also talked openly about her regret for not completing her education and how she looked forward to returning to school in the future.
Chiu’s admission followed her response to some of the most frequently asked questions about her on her YouTube vlog from the previous year. One of them was, “What college did Kim Chiu attend? “The actress replied that she could never complete her education.
“One of my greatest regrets is that I could not go to college to study. However, I believe everything happens for a reason, and Kim said I was instead brought into Hollywood.
She feels that supporting three of her brothers as they pursue higher education is already gratifying for her and that acting is a part of her destiny.
To some people’s surprise, Chiu did attempt to seek higher education. She enrolled in the University of the Philippines Open University from 2015 to 2017. However, due to the demands of her acting career, she could not complete her business management course.
She informed her followers of her enrolment at the time, as seen by her August 2015 Instagram post.
“I couldn’t handle the course. Thus I was unable to complete it. At the time, I was working on a series and had a lot of projects and obligations. Although those projects are opportunities, I’m not blaming them.
Chiu is open to continuing her studies even if her first effort at higher school did not go as she had hoped.
“I’m sure that studying will always be an option, and I can always find a manner and a convenient time to resume my studies. I’ll graduate from college. Soon. I won’t prevent that from happening.
The 32-year-old famous person is now regarded as one of the nation’s brightest lights. Our little “Chinita Princess” grew up as a lovely girl and one of today’s most popular actors.
