He wrote in THE NEW YORK TIME for an extended period of twelve years, signifying and making people aware of the essence of the brain, emotional functioning, and behavioral sciences. His book Emotional Intelligence is an impression worldwide in 40 different languages. Goleman has authored books on several topics, including self-deception, creativeness, translucence, meditation, social and emotional understanding, eco-literacy and the ecological crisis, and the Dalai Lama’s vision for the future.
Spiritual Awakening of Daniel Goleman
Goleman studied in India using a pre-doctoral fellowship from Harvard University and post-doctoral assistance from the Social Science Research Council. While in India, he devoured time with spiritual educator Neem Karoli Baba, the guru to some enlightening personalities like Ram Dass, Krishna Das, and Larry Brilliant.
Goleman co-founded the Collective form for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning at Yale University’s Child Studies Center, then was moved to the University of Illinois at Chicago.
