Leandro Paredes was born on 29 June 1994 in San Justo, Argentina. Being an Argentine professional football player who plays for Ligue 1 club Paris saint- Germain and the Argentina national team as a defensive midfielder. Previously, he started playing football for the youth team of Boca Juniors in 2002 and began his carrier at the club. He used to play for football clubs like Chievo(loan), Boca Juniors, Roma, Empoli (loan), and Zenit Saint Petersburg. After spending seven years at Boca Junior’s youth team, he made his senior team debut for the club on 7 November 2010 in a 2-0 away defeat to Argentinos Juniors. On January 2014, he joined the Italian series A club Chievo Verona for the 2013-14 season where he made only 3 appearances for the club in all competitions.
On 19 July 2014, he joined Roma on a temporary deal, with the option of considering buying outright from Boca Juniors. He made his debut for the club on 27 September 2014 in a 2-0 win against Hellas Verona. On 8 February 2015, he scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 victory against Cagliari. During 2014-15, he made a total of 13 appearances for the club, scoring once and providing 1 assist in all the competitions. On 1st July 2015, he permanently signed for Roma and on 31st August 2015, he was loaned to series A club Empoli for the rest of the 2015-16 Season, where he made 33 appearances for the club, scoring 2 goals and provided 1 assist in all competitions. On 13th August 2017, he made 39 appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals and providing 11 assists in all the competitions, and scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 win against Akhmat Grozny. On 19th May 2017, he received his first call from newly appointed coach Jorge Sampaoli for Argentina’s friendlies against Brazil and Singapore.
