Cong Velasquez, also known as CONG TV, opened an account in February 2008 and uploaded his first music video parody for the Silent Sanctuary song “Rebound” in December. He continues to create short satires and comedies, often using trade skills and references to Philippine culture. and returned in 2011 after a brief break starting in 2009.
He was motivated by several vloggers, such as Logan Paul while working his job as a networker alongside his brother Marlon Cortez Velasquez (Junnieboy/JunJun). Then, to concentrate on his vlogging career, he left his employment.
He began his well-known YouTube video series then, and his films also began to look more polished and well-edited. When he achieved 100,000 subscribers in 2015, he started vlogging on Cong Vlogs. When vlogging finally took over as the primary material on his channel, it accounted for most of his views and subscribers; in 2017, he hit 1,000,000. His personality and humor have remained unchanged throughout his career, and he continues to do videos alongside Team Payaman (“get rich” in English translation). He also made available his line of Cong Clothing goods, which included a variety of t-shirts, including “Team Payaman” (Millionaire Mind). He is a Filipino comedian, vlogger, streamer, and YouTuber who serves as the group’s head and a Tier One member. He began doing parodies and sketches in 2008 and is now a well-known vlogger in the Philippines. His style of comedy is remarkable for being a prime example of down-to-earth Filipino humor, which many of his fans relate to him.
He currently primarily records vlogs with the members of Team Payaman. Although he has a bold demeanor in his videos, he is a modest person who supports and assists his friends whenever possible.
After establishing a YouTube empire of 3.03M subscribers and 254,254,017 views in 2020, Cong and Team Payaman entered the esports industry, officially streaming and gaming for Tier One. After a shocking miscarriage of his partner years ago, he is now a great father to his newborn son “Kidlat,” which means lightning in English. And also one of the most successful businessman YouTubers in the Philippines. He and his partner, Viy Cortez, released many booming businesses in the country.
And whatever Cong achieved everything now today, is part of his hard work. Just as he said in 2019, year when he is just getting started being famous, Cong TV had some words of wisdom to say during COLN‘s set at Rakrakan Festival 2019,
“Maybe some people think we don’t deserve to be here, but that’s okay. My message for all of you dreamers is just keep going. Keep reaching. Even if everyone says that you can’t do it, that it’s impossible, it’s difficult… tell them, I can do this!”
