Gemma McCaw plays Hockey for New Zealand and has represented New Zealand in many prestigious global tournaments such as Olympics. Hard work and passion are her key characteristics, she is known to be agile on the field whenever she has her hockey bat in her hand, she is unstoppable. That’s the thing when you truly love something you give your best to it and when it’s a genuine effort nobody can come close to you except the ones who are equally as dedicated and passionate as you are. Gemma has shown all of these and that’s the reason why she is one of the best-known hockey women’s players in the world.
She started her career back in 2008 and since then she has been continuously playing for the New Zealand team non-stop. Till now she has over 240 appearances and has scored 71 goals in her career so far. She won silver in 2010, Delhi Commonwealth Games, and Bronze in 2014, Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Her major win was the 2009, Cape Town Champions Challenge in which she won a gold medal.
Gemma and her Husband “Richie McCaw”, started dating back in 2013, and got engaged to each other in 2016 after spending close to 3 years together and getting to know one another perfectly well. In the subsequent year in 2017, she got married to the All Blacks captain and they both started their life together as a married couple. She had her first baby in 2018, for which she was a bit nervous but at the same time quite excited. Later in 2021, she had her second child, for which she was not much worried as she has been through that tough time. Indeed, it’s equally full of the same emotions and pain but as our brain is constructed to give us a pat in such situations where we go through something twice, it’s not as harsh as it was before.
Recently she shared a post on Instagram in which she had posted a picture of her little family and she put a caption “Baby number 3 due in 2023 and we couldn’t be happier (or more nauseous)”. So, she updated her fans that she will be giving birth to her 3rd baby, her fans congratulated the couple and gave blessings for the journey that awaits. Well, indeed all the best to Gemma, as they get to live the prettiest part of a couple’s life once again.
