Hemayal and Hira, sisters from Islamabad, followed their hearts and entered the world of blogging five years ago. Since then, they haven’t looked back. In Pakistan, being a blogger or an influencer was not even regarded as a viable professional path, but the Attique sisters didn’t seem to care. They started off with their site, HerandHem (https://herandhem.com), which is a combination of their names. They work incredibly hard to provide content in the areas of fashion, lifestyle, and beauty and inform us of the newest makeup trends by writing reviews.
They eventually started a combined Instagram handle to interact with their fans and post more content on the social media platform. They were shocked to see that their Instagram account had been removed after they finally reached 50K followers. They began creating their own personal influencer accounts as a result, which inspired them to tap into their own creativity. They have a combined fan base of about 1 million. When they were nominated for the PISA 2020 Awards and Hira won the “Influencer of the Year” award, their labors had truly paid off. They have worked as stylists, publicists, and digital marketers for many firms in addition to being successful influencers.
A live session with psychologist Dr. Ayesha Wajahat was one of Hira Attique and Hemayal Attique’s most original and significant endeavors. She was invited by the sisters to participate in an Instagram live discussion about mental health, with a particular focus on how this pandemic has affected mental health. The psychotherapist and the bloggers provided advice on how to deal with any emotional difficulties people might be having while also encouraging candid, open conversation about this severely stigmatized condition. The sisters have been producing fashion and lifestyle material for more than five years, but as a way to keep their audience informed and interested, they have recently expanded their programming to include real news stories.
When asked about their first encounter, Hemayal remarked, “I clearly recall the day our mother brought her home.” Even though I detested having to share the spotlight, I was glad to have a playmate. She was described as a “girly girl” by Hira, and I can still clearly recall her playing with and dressing up dolls while I was the troublemaker and used to steal her dolls. They define one another’s personal, elegant, and experimental dress sense. comfortable yet elegant, expensive, and traditional. They talk about using toner, moisturizer, eye cream, and lip balm as part of their beauty routine. They disseminated advice for aspiring influencers. Be true to yourself, Hemayal advised, and strive to provide something fresh, while Hira advised being dependable.
We frequently try to act like someone else, but this never really works because they are already popular and they need someone who is authentically themselves. Hira and Hemayal Attique, two sisters, are giving us major fashion goals with their “makeup reviews, hair tutorials, and OOTDs,” which they perform with their own special spin.
