Ian Fang was born in Shanghai, China; however, he migrated to Singapore when he was 13 years old and graduated from Republic Polytechnic. This is one of the reasons why he is so approachable, as it helps explain his background. Furthermore, he is now a Singapore permanent resident (PR).

In April 2018, Ian Fang and two other pals opened a restaurant together. The high-society dining establishment can find along Mohamad Sultan Road is known for its European cuisine.
The place is called House of Mu, and every item of furniture there is handcrafted from Burmese teak. As a result, you should not expect to find anything there that is inexpensive.
