Ivana Alawi is a Filipino-Morrocan actress, celebrity endorser, and YouTuber in the Philippines. With a real name Mariam Sayed Sameer Marbella Al-Alawi.
Fatima Marbella and the lately departed Moroccan millionaire Samier Al-Alawi were Ivana’s parents.
She is the third of four siblings; the 28-year-old Amira Alawi is the oldest. Their youngest is Mona Alawi, formerly Mona Louise Rey, followed by Hashim Alawi.
Mona Louise was born the year after Fatima returned to Manila. In 2003, Ivana’s parents divorced. Mona was then in her mother’s womb.
Ivana, Amira, and Hashim travelled to the Philippines in 2006 to live with their mother and Mona. Ivana’s father had a heart attack in December of that year and passed away in a Subic hospital. The last member of their family to see her father alive was Ivana.
Ivana was raised in Bahrain, where her father was stationed. She has the financial means to attend a British school in Bahrain because of her wealthy family.
Ivana completed her high school education in the Philippines, but she omitted to say the institution she attended. She studied culinary arts at the Global Academy while in college.
Ivana enrolled in Enderun Colleges (a prestigious private school in the Philippines) to study Fashion Marketing in 2017 while taking a brief break from her showbiz career to start her clothing brand.
Ivana enjoys swimming, horseback riding, boxing, Muay Thai, and target shooting, in addition to fashion and cooking.
She started her showbiz career in 2011 using the screen name Mariel Rey.
Looking back, Ivana disclosed in a vlog video that before joining StarStruck (a Philippine reality talent competition show) in 2015, she previously went on an audition for Star Magic, the ABS-CBN talent management division. Ivana disclosed that she never heard back from Star Magic.
Ivana also disclosed that she attempted to participate in the network’s reality program, Pinoy Big Brother, but was once more turned down. Pinoy Big Brother: 737 was broadcast in 2015, yet Ivana could not specify which season she auditioned.
Ivana began her modelling career while performing as an “extra” in TV series.
Ivana, Mariam Al-Alawi, participated in the sixth season of the reality talent competition StarStuck on the Kapuso network in 2015.
Ivana took a brief hiatus around 2017 and focused on her love of fashion when her acting career was struggling.
Ivana began adopting the stage name Ivana Alawi in 2018 after joining Star Magic and Perry Lansigan’s talent management company PPL Entertainment.
Ivana started sharing her swimsuit images online because she wanted to break away from the cute idea.
Ivana launched her own YouTube channel on August 28, 2019.
She reached 1 million subscribers by October 31, 2019, two months after launching her YouTube channel.
She now has 15.8M subscribers. The average number of views per Ivana Alawi’s YouTube video is 3.7M, while the highest number of arguments is 4.5M.
