Life is full of ups and downs, well, that’s one thing which is true about life, the second thing is “Life is so unpredictable”, your journey might be entirely different from the people around you. You can’t expect your graph to constantly go uphill in life, by that I mean economically as well as socially. When I talk economically, I’m talking about the amount of financial freedom you have. And when I talk socially, that means the amount of attention and love that you get from society. Today I’d be talking about Mads Hansen, whose full name is Mads Andre Hansen, he is a former Norwegian footballer. His professional career started in the year 2002, when he started playing for “Strømsgodset”, he played for the team till 2003. In the year 2004 he joined “Mjøndalen” and was part of the team for 6 years, he quit the team in 2010. Then in 2011, he joined “Fredrikstad”, though he couldn’t survive on the team for more than a year, he left it in 2012. Thereafter he again joined his former team “Mjøndalen and again he had a long stint of 5 years playing for the team. In the year 2018, he quit the team as well as retired from professional football. The reason which he had stated for his retirement was “Lack of Motivation”, well, as in my opinion which is true till some extent. In his 16-year-long career as a professional footballer, he has scored only 13 goals in total. He has a total of 283 appearances. And that’s too low for a football player, so, indeed he made the right decision. But in life we all have disappointments, at least he should be happy that he got to play professional football for that long, and there must be some concrete reason for it.
After his retirement, Hansen tried his hand at singing, and he sang a song named “Sommerkroppen”, 4 years back which instantly got viral and people of Norway and even some other countries loved the song. The song was sung in an anthem style, this type of song is generally a big hit on the international scene and is known to break regional and linguistic boundaries. Well, after that song he has come up with nothing so far. Last month he got into a heated argument with Jamal Sheik, who runs an Instagram account named “Racism in Norway”, Jamal is considered to be an anti-racist and social debater. Hansen took to Instagram and wrote extensively on how Jamal is presenting pointless and incorrect facts and how he is trying to persuade people with his bad practice. He believes Jamal has provided incorrect information to the public and has misrepresented those very incidents. Well, I personally can’t comment on who’s in the right, but we should definitely be curious ourselves and inquire into the details to know the real facts.
