At the age of 18, Niki Shah established her own designer label with boutiques in India and Dubai. She soon had many fashion shows in her schedule.Niki Shah began blogging at the age of 30 to establish new fashion trends and became a social media influencer in the United Arab Emirates and India by promoting established and emerging fashion, travel, and lifestyle brands. Niki Shah calls Dubai her home and primarily resides there.She claims to have spent her childhood there looking into and learning about every conceivable luxury.
She absorbed the essence of diverse cultures, nature, and fashions throughout her life, having lived in places like India, Kenya, and the United Arab Emirates.In 2010, she was named the new Youth Icon of Ahmedabad thanks to her significant success in India. She says, “I have dressed many celebrity customers and have participated in many international fashion shows, built a successful portfolio as a fashion designer. Now, I am a social media influencer and hence, I used both Fashion/Lifestyle knowledge and my Marketing Degree together to create a new avenue of Influencer/Blogger marketing based on strategic ideas to help promote not only well known brands but also help new and upcoming brands to promote their products in the most efficient way.”
Niki claims that she began blogging as a pastime that quickly evolved into her identity.She started using social media as a hobby somewhere in the middle of writing and styling.She has been fortunate to collaborate with and produce bespoke editorials and content for some of the world’s leading luxury, beauty, and fashion brands. She started writing fashion blogs at the age of almost 30 after deciding that it is never too late to try new things and explore other areas of the fashion industry. Very quickly, she turned it into commercial blogging, which she turned into a full-time career as a lifestyle influencer on various social platforms.
Her fashion blogs combine all of the content she has written about fashion with all of her technical fashion studies knowledge to create an informative database. She automatically creates fashion trends that are relatable to the majority of Asian women worldwide and demonstrate how fashion can be worn without breaking cultural values or the bank.
According to her interview Niki says”My show wardrobe consists of more than 100 different brands and designers; I often love it how my followers and I connect on my social media platforms over our common love for footwear”. In addition, whenever she travels to different countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Turkey, and so on, she provides helpful shopping advice that is both interesting and cost-effective at the same time. She shares with her female followers that makeup is just grooming, and that one does not need to layer every other day to look well-groomed.
Niki has successfully developed her brand on social media and has worked with numerous brands to conceptualise their entire terms. Social media can be used to spread good ideas and build a brand by providing the right information on specific topics.
