Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike born on the 9th of October 1986, popularly called Phyno Fino, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. He began his song profession as a manufacturer in 2003 and is renowned for rapping in the Igbo language from the eastern part of Nigeria, His debut studio album No Guts No Glory was released in 2014. It was supported via 4 singles: “Ghost Mode”, “Man of the Year”, “Parcel” and “O Set”. Before that he recorded singles like “What are you anticipating” and ” Multiply” presenting M.I, Mr. Raw, Timaya and M.I Phyno have laboured with artists such as Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, Timaya, Flavour, Ruggedman, Bracket, J. Martins, and Mr. Raw.
Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike was born and raised in Enugu State, even though he is an indigene of Anambra State. As he grew into the musical realm phyno began to turn into a household name. His name Phyno, which is derived from the word ‘phenomenal’ which means ‘out of the ordinary, was the nickname given to him by one of his high school friends named Emeka. He has a very beautiful set of eyeballs and is always shy to come out without his sunglasses. Phyno advanced their interest in tune manufacturing at some point in his secondary school days. Starting off as a producer and growing hits for musicians inclusive of flavour, phyno decided to take on rapping in 2010. He had a game plan for his debut and everyone else wasn’t expecting it.
He initially desired to become a pilot but was told that he might be a doctor. Throughout high school, he played drums and piano. He additionally started to create his personal rendition of each recording he heard! He studied Public Administration at the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu and began benefiting from music throughout his 2nd year at IMT. Phyno told Ifeoma Onoye during his interview that Mr. Raw is one of the few people he looks up to. When he enrolled in the university phyno had the popularity of being a musical genius, and he Commenced selling his beats to different artists. He is understood for preserving his private life as personal as you will!. The musician is single and isn’t recognized to be married or seeing anyone. As a multitalented good looking, creative artist, phyno has been a victim of misreported news regarding his relationship and marital status. Phyno commenced rapping in 2010 and relocated to Lagos to keep his tune career alive.
He told the Nigerian Tribune he raps in Igbo due to the fact that he respects his lifestyle and loves being himself. Although he raps in Igbo, he includes a chunk of Nigerian Pidgin and English in his music. Which gave him a huge advantage as the majority of his fans and followers are Igbo and pidgin-speaking individuals.
He prides himself on being Igbo language and believes that through his music, he’s promoting and raising his culture to be recognized internationally, as he is a global act who is reputable for his contributions to the song scene in Africa. Phyno believes the type of songs he makes is without borderlines.
