Perhaps in a parallel timeline, Kim Atienza has become a significant figure in the politics of the Philippines at the national level. After all, he is the son of Lito Atienza, who served as mayor of Manila in the past and was in line to take over his father’s position. After serving as a councillor in the city of Manila from 1995 until 2004, the younger Atienza later attempted to run for Congress but was unsuccessful. The following year, in 2007, his father strongly suggested that he run for mayor. However, he did not accept the offer and instead decided to pursue a career in radio, which he had previously established as relatively successful.
Atienza hasn’t looked back since then, and as a result, she is now one of the country’s most recognisable faces on television.
His daughter is a model who slays the runway.
To his daughter, Emmanuelle, Kuya Kim Atienza said, “Fly high and achieve the aspirations your daddy wasn’t able to realise in his youth.”
Emmanuelle, the youngest child of Kuya Kim Atienza, was one of the models that killed it on the runway during the just-concluded Bench Fashion Week 2022. This has made Kuya Kim Atienza a very pleased father.
The fashion event lasted for three days at The Playground in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, from the 30th of September to the 2nd of October.
The host published a post on Instagram in which he shared photographs and videos of his daughter killing it on the catwalk during the fashion show.
In addition to this, Kuya Kim divulged an interesting fact about himself. “In the 1980s, I always wanted to be a ramp model, and I went to many go-sees just to get turned down because I wasn’t tall enough. (5’8″),” it says in writing.
The host of the Kapuso television show then went on to express how happy he is of his youngest child, saying, “I am so proud of my little @emmanatienza who rocked the runway for #benchfashionweek2022 last weekend.” You go, brave girl!
His two kids are studying in the US
Two of Kuya Kim’s children have decided to complete their educations in the United States, where they are currently residing.
Jose’s oldest child is currently enrolled at Tufts University in Boston, while his second-oldest child, Eliana, is attending the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania to study business.
Emmanuelle, the youngest of the three, is still a resident of the house together with Kuya, Kim and Felicia.
Kuya Kim shared the following about his three children: “Of my three children, one attends Tufts University in Boston, while the other one required our assistance in getting to her school.” The University of Pennsylvania is currently her educational institution.
“And then there’s another child continuing to remain with us. So there is still one child in our family. However, the two children are currently in the United States.
Even though it was difficult for him to let his children go, Kuya Kim is happy to see that they are doing well in their chosen careers.
They are also fulfilling one of his deepest desires in the process.
Kim Atienza’s advice to his U.S.-studying children Jose and Eliana is as follows: “That life will be troublesome at a certain point, and Mama and Papa will not be there. Mama and Papa are always there when they have trouble kasi in the Philippines. But now that they’re in the States, [if there is trouble] go where Papa goes, go to God and pray.”
