Elaine Lively and Ernie Lively welcomed Blake Ellender Brown into the world on August 25, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. Her half-siblings, actors Lori Lively, Robyn Lively, and Jason Lively, are all actors. Her brother is the actor Eric Lively. She did as her parents and siblings had done. In her debut performance, she played Trixie, the Tooth Fairy in her father’s 1998 musical film Sandman. But it took her a few years before she got her big break. When Blake was offered the co-starring part of Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, she was ready to complete high school (2005). Without any significant references or even an audition, Blake was cast in the role of Bridget because she was so perfectly suited for it.
She was exactly what Bridget needed; it was obvious. Blake returned to high school for her senior year after the movie to resume her normal teen life, albeit one that was extremely busy. She led her class, cheered for the team, and sang in the chorus. Younger sister of Eric Lively, younger half-sister of Lori Lively, Jason Lively, and Robyn Lively, and daughter of actor Ernie Lively and talent manager Elaine Lively. She is Bart Johnson’s, Adam Johnson’s, and Brad Johnson’s sister-in-law. They all assumed she was joking when she stepped into the audition room for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) with nothing but her photo; nevertheless, when she left, they knew she was exactly the Bridget they were looking for. She managed to balance her responsibilities as cheerleader and class president while also participating in her national championship show choir. has said that she has known Penn Badgley, who plays her Gossip Girl co-star in 2007, since she was 11 years old.
At her high school, she participated in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as cheerleading, choir, and student government. She led her class as president. Her debut acting role was in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005). She is enjoying herself and is currently ranked #43 on Maxim magazine’s list of the Hot 100 Women of 2008. When Eric Lively, her older brother, was about to enter the first grade, she said on Live with Kelly and Ryan (1988) that he didn’t want to go to school by himself. She was three years old at the time, yet she was incredibly tall. Blake’s age was falsely reported by her mother to be 6. When Blake was in first grade, the school labelled her as “slow” even though she was only three years old and had difficulty speaking. She claims she was happy because it made her brother happy. She has admitted that being tall makes her feel somewhat insecure. She is just over 5’10” tall. She truly despises wearing heels so much.
On January 5, 2011, Lively was selected by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld to serve as the “face” of Chanel’s new “Mademoiselle” handbag brand. The Lagerfeld-shot advertisement is scheduled to debut in mid-March 2011.
