Parimita’s blog Mumbai Gloss took off six years and nine months ago. She started it as a side hobby, and wrote about fashion, beauty, and travel, like a lot of other bloggers. But with time, her blog has evolved just like her persona. Parimita remarks that her blog is less of a blog, and more of an experience diary, a travelogue, if you will. Every time she embarks on a new adventure, may it be going on a food-tasting spree in Lucknow or telling the people about places to visit and food to eat in her home town Mumbai, her blog is all about her life. One could clearly state that her life is but an open book. She also writes about food, luxury, Bollywood, and society.
Unlike a lot of other beauty/fashion bloggers, Parimita writes about a spectrum of content, having previously worked as a content writer. She has indelectable experience with the job, and has written for world-renowned brands and platforms like Hello, Femina India, HAIR India, and BeBeautiful.in. She has also penned down an entire book titled ‘Look Stunning at Any Size: An Everyday Women’s Guide to Looking Stylish’ which garnered favorable reviews from a lot of readers.
Parimita has various other accolades to her profile, some of which included an interview with the Food Food Channel, and being in an exclusive feature by Mint. Apart from blogging, she is knee-deep into the social service scene. She has extensively documented endometriosis and its prevalence in India, and actively manages a page-cum-discussion-forum called ‘Endometriosis India Files‘ wherein the patients of the condition come together and can talk freely about their symptoms and diagnosis. She personally as diagnosed with stage IV of the disease in 2007, and made it her life’s mission to make it easier for other women going through the disease.
When asked how she manages all that she does so smoothly, Parimita swears by time management, organization, planning. In the future, she looks forward to creating e-books and starting another blog exclusively based on style.
