Should Cricket be the National game of India?

To begin with, India does not have a national game as of now. Though ‘Hockey’ is taught to us as our national game right from our childhood but in 2012, Sports Ministry clarified that India has not notified any national game as such. Now the question arises should cricket be made our national game? So,basically everyone would have different opinion here, some will say "Yes" it should be and some will say "No" is should not be. Here I'm sharing my opinion in both Yes&No Yes, Cricket should be declared as the national game of India:- A. India has been performing remarkably well in cricket from the previous 20 years or thereabouts. It is the most well known game in India. Kids are frantically energetic about it, individuals are profoundly engaged with the game, there is a cricket pundit in each Indian house. The BCCI has been fruitful in splendidly advertising and empowering the game also. BCCI is the most extravagant cricket board on the planet and the most extravagant games controlling expert in India. No games authority has dealt with their game so well in India when contrasted with BCCI. We have won 3 World Cups, 2 Victor Prizes and a lot more lofty competitions. B. Aside from the crude enthusiasm, the cash and popularity that follows are blinding. In contrast to different players of different games, the cricketers even at the lesser levels gain abundantly, which is additionally a persuading factor that this game guarantees money related security gave you play well. No, Cricket should not be declared as the national game of India:- A.Cricket basically originated in England and gained popularity in the colonial countries as the English masters used to play. The fine Englishmen used to bat all day and the tiring bowling work was done by the locals of the colonies. This game is a sign of the presence of colonialism. B.We were champions of hockey even when we were not independent. We have won Olympic 8 gold medals in Hockey, highest in any sport. We had a glorious past, and we should work towards restoring it. Making Cricket as a national game may overshadow Hockey. By concluding my argument, I would not agree on- Cricket to become National game of India. As Hockey is our game and it is played before independence and we have got many victories through Hockey, So if we try to restore Hockey back on track it will get back our Victory back. Though I agree that Cricket in India is more popular than any game, we can't give it the title of National Game of India. We also know cricket is also famous for controversies both Good and Bad.
