After Independence of India, The churches constructed at the time of British rule were destroyed by locals and were not taken care of, These even started being used as godawns , horse stables. When Indira Gandhi became the prime minister, She ordered to reconstruct these beautiful churches. There are 2 churches in Lansdowne, St.John’s and St Mary’s, Beautifully constructed amidst pine trees and in a cool ambience. It was quite a place to visit and just relax. I loved these beauties. I wish I wore some red dress and getting clicked in front of that beautiful church. But it was very cold for me. ?
