One of my teachers once asked me to differentiate between the fate and destiny. These two words may sound quite similar to the hearer, however, they are unalike. Ever wondered Lord Ram was born as prince yet spent his 14 years in exile. On the other hand, Lord Krishna born in a prison yet spent his whole life like a prince. That is where we got our fundamentals to differentiate these two words. Fate is what happens to us, and Destiny is where we are despite of our fate. Isn't it making sense now?
